Maeystown, IL had a paint-out yesterday to introduce a new crop of artists to their beautiful, historic town. The event was well-organized and welcoming and the town is full of things to paint – beautiful old historic stone and frame structures, an old mill beside a peaceful creek, and hollyhocks, to name but a few. There were about twenty artists attending and some lovely work was done.
Some of the art (including my work shown above) will be hanging around town for a couple of weeks to attract potential buyers and for the town to enjoy.
