Here is a pic of my painting from this past Monday at the Watershed. It was painted in soft morning light from the marsh walk and is a scene of the lower lake, which is nearly covered in duckweed, etc. I was attracted to the scene by the golden leaves on the trees and by the blue trails on the lake left by birds, frogs, and other critters moving through the water. I also liked the shadow in the foreground. The painting will be entered for judging for a juried show at the Edwardsville Arts Center next month. It’s a 14×14 oil on panel. Wish me luck and thanks for looking!
