Frank’s Hat

Frank's Hat

More drawing practice. This is a drawing of an Alpine hat that belonged to Tom’s dad, who was born in Germany but became a U.S. citizen when he was just a child. He fought at Pearl Harbor and was first a machinist, then an engineer and lastly an engineering manager. He was a bright, wonderful man with an easy smile and he raised three great guys. He loved to travel and hike and this hat holds his many volksmarching and travel pins. The drawing is an 11×14 graphite drawing on Canson paper.
